Color Scheme
In many cases, color scheme will be at least partially determined by the design style you choose for your kitchen. However, you do not have to stick to what’s “typical” in order to create a beautiful space. Experiment with other options that you’re interested in. For instance, while most farmhouse kitchens are done in blues, greens, and maybe even gentle yellows, there is no reason to hold yourself to these colors if they don’t suit your taste. Branch out and explore light pink, lavender, or go for something more neutral and natural. This is true for any design style.
Appliances
Nearly all appliances are stainless steel these days, which works well in modern and contemporary kitchen designs. However, these aren’t the best choice for everyone. Don’t feel tied down just because more unique options are a little harder to find. Remember that this is your home, and you need to live in it, so if you have your heart set on something different that blends into your kitchen design more readily, don’t hesitate to go looking for it.
